Well... here's a lousy coloration for the last and latest EOI comic. Enjoy it of you can, but it's nothing professional I shall warn you... it took me some "considerable" time with the photoshop thought.

And this is the original version for you to compare:

I prefer the black and white verison of the two, sorry.

Try using photoshop instead of MS-Paint so you can use layers instead of fill. It will get rid of the white specks that plague the picture

He said he did use photoshop.

So, what about MY coloring job? :D

Actually, it's all splotchy, and could be done better... I should do that.

Oh, don't be foolish, have you actually tried to do it with ms paint? it's obvius it was done with phtoshop (besides, I said it).

For you, here's what it would look done with paint:

(and it looks like that because the image contains Hidden Data, amd the MS paint can't recognize it, and less omit it, but photoshop can)

I wpuld understand if you actually preferred the ByW imagen before that one ;)

As for this one, ngames sick:

I think overall gives a better impresion than mine, but just a couple of things:

1- You left an unpainted little corner behind the dialogue bubble, lol.

2- You painted the wall also over the Nimoy uniform :P

Other than that is *quite* good.

I prefer both of us versions of the painted than the unpainted ones -except, of course the joke MS paint one xD-. The colour (thought in this cases, far from perfect), gives it more soul and a more warm, fuzzy feeling :P

Sorry for my grammar and spelling.

I recommend rather than pirating professional software stick to programs like Paint.net and GIMP.
Read some tutorials and learn how to make full use of these programs.

Grab GIMPshop. It's the GIMP, modified to be as simmilar to photoshop as it can be.

It's still missing some things, but overall it's a pretty solid program.

Yeah, that is pretty lousy. You didn't seem to account for a lot of the anti-aliasing and crosshatching, making it all look a bit rough and sketchy especially compared to ngames' panel. Though it's probably more difficult to do than I think it is. It took "considerable" time you say?

Well, it would be a lot eesier to do if I had got the original .bmp file and not the .jpg one (it would have less noisy lines)-

"considerable" accounts for about... 20 mins? I really haven't counted it. My "time sense" isn't really good. What really took me the most time is to look for the colour references on the (really, really few) painted original EOI sortelli comics (in the last generation at least).

And I could have done a lot better BUT...

1- I'm lazy.

2- I didn't want to take any "artistic license" (like to blur a bit the lines or such).

But now I can't neother fix it nor do anything because both my photoshop installation and my CD don't work anymore...

The original would likely be a PSD file.

Anyhow, get GIMPshop, if photoshop doesn't work.

Well, it does involve a four letter word for sex.
